Microsoft announced Project Helix, a next-generation Xbox console powered by a custom AMD chip designed for DirectX compatibility, at GDC in March 2026. The device will feature advanced graphics technologies including ray tracing, GPU-directed work execution, AMD's FSR upscaling and frame generation tools, and machine learning-based rendering capabilities.
