At least 65 Nigerian soldiers were killed in jihadist raids across the country's north-east over two weeks, as Islamic State West Africa Province gunmen overran four military bases in Borno state and abducted about 300 civilians. The attacks, which occurred on March 5-9, represent part of a nearly two-decade insurgency that has displaced more than 2 million people across Nigeria and neighboring countries in the Lake Chad basin region.
